Let’s take a look at Rogue AM-2 Adjustable Monolift 2.0 for Monster Rack.
An adjustable monolift is a crucial part of any personal strength training that offers advantages for different lifts. It eliminates the walk-out when squatting heavy without the need for a spotter. The rack-mounted Adjustable Monolift 2.0 fits with any Rogue Monster Series rack or rig, giving you a new means of doing heavy-weight squats and other lifts without having to walk the bar out or worry about dodging J-cups.
Here’s some of the styles we are going to look at:
Rogue AM-2 Adjustable Monolift 2.0 for Monster Rack – Overview
The Rogue AM-2 Adjustable Monolift 2.0 for Monster Rack is a cost-effective option for expensive, full-scale monolift units that enables you to easily unrack and rerack heavy weight without any disturbance while doing squats or while benching. The attachment’s strength of version 2.0 was updated, and the center of mass around the handle was re-engineered to remove unwanted weight allowing more comfortable one-hand adjustments. The new stainless steel key locks the Monolift’s jaws in place, streamlining adjustments and using the hooks as traditional J-cups. The AM-2 Adjustable Monolift mounts to your rack’s uprights through a pair of 1/4” steel brackets (MG Black finish) and 1” detent pins.
Featuring a Texture Red finish, the 1.25″ comprehensive jaw parts are placed in recessed hook plastic, with an extended 8” of vertical space for reracking (2” more than the previous model). A set of 3/8” thick steel counterweights (Texture Black finish) provide the needed torque, so when you lift the bar off the Monolift, the hooks will turn back about 5.5” to the rack and stay there. This clears up enough additional space to go right into your workout and also allows secure reracking, as the diagonal angle of the unloaded hooks makes it easy to guide the bar in, activating the counterweights and moving the Monolift back into its original position.
The Rogue AM-2 Adjustable Monolift 2.0 for Monster Rack has been tested at a capacity of 1,000+ LBS and carries two steel mounting brackets in MG Black (with laser-cut Rogue branding), two 1.25″ wide plastic-lined J-Hooks in Texture Red, two steel counterweights in Texture Black, two 1” detent pins, and a set of 3/8” stopper bolts. The hooks are meant to swing back 5.5” when the weight is lifted, opening up space to lift. The AM-2 units utilize quality 0.25” and 0.375” steel (with laser-cut Rogue branding in the brackets) and UHMW plastic. The resting J-Hook is protected by eight vertical inches of plastic, giving you adequate space for reracking compared to the original model, which allows about 6” of vertical plastic.
AML-2 Adjustable Monolift 2.0 – Monster Lite
The AML-2 Adjustable Monolift 2.0 – Monster Lite provides a practical alternative to costly, full-scale monolift units. It attaches to your rack’s uprights through a pair of 1/4” steel brackets (MG Black finish) and 5/8” detent pins. The 1.25″ broad jaw segments highlight a Texture Red finish and are set in recessed hook plastic, with an extended 8” of vertical space for re-racking (2” more than the earlier model). The hooks are meant to swing back 5.5” when the weight is lifted, freeing up space to lift. You can then control the bar back into the jaws, reversing the counterweights and returning the Monolift to its starting position. The rack-mounted Adjustable Monolift 2.0 is compatible with any Rogue Monster Lite Series rack or rig, providing you a new means of doing heavy-weight squats and other lifts without having to walk the bar out or fret about ducking J-cups.
The jaws also now rest about 10” under the rack attachment point (several inches closer than Version 1.0), producing more possibilities for positioning the Monolift. Each AML-2 unit is assembled in the USA using quality 0.25” and 0.375” steel (with laser-cut Rogue branding in the brackets) and UHMW plastic. The resting J-Hook is preserved by eight vertical inches of plastic, rendering extensive space for re-racking as opposed to the first model, which offers about 6” of vertical plastic. Included also with the AML-2 is a stainless steel locking key with a snake knotted tether. This enables you to secure the J-Hook in place for a more comfortable adjustment or for using the Monolift as a traditional J-Cup.
