Open Trap Bar – Overview
The open-sided frame of the Open Trap Bar allows you to step in and out of the bar and doesn’t restrain the lower body’s range of motion. This makes the bar practical for a wide variety of movements, such as lunging, pressing, and carrying. Its handles are removable with a no-frills thumbscrew so you can utilize the Open Trap Bar as a cambered bar for presses and squats.
The built-in deadlift jack makes it easier to load and unload plates by tilting the bar up on its feet. The frame is composed of round tubing making the bar enjoyable to use for pressing and squatting. The 6” knurling delivers a reliable grip to help balance the bar on your back while squatting. The distance between the sleeve collars enables smooth racking and unracking.
The bar will sit flush and secure even on wide 49” racks. The Open Trap Bar highlights the signature textured matte black powder coat that provides extra grip for presses even on wide 49” racks. The hard chrome sleeves are a premium coating that is durable when sliding plates on and off. This specialty bar weighs 60 lbs and measures 84.3″.
