Rep Fitness brings the updated FT-5000 2.0 Functional Trainer to the market in 2023.
No need to go to the gym to get commercial-grade, cable strength training. The FT-5000 2.0 will take you there without you leaving the comfort of your home. The FT-5000 2.0 comes with two durable polymer D-handles, storage pegs for the attachments, and a mountable diagram demonstrating 12 movements you can do on the machine.
The 2nd version of the Functional Trainer from Rep Fitness:
FT-5000 2.0 Functional Trainer – Overview
The FT-5000 2.0 Functional Trainer is a sturdy, 11-gauge frame that is double-coated with a chip-resistant, electrostatic powder coating with a matte black finish that makes it look gorgeous. The unit is laser-cut and robot-welded for a clean look, and every bolt head can be capped to avoid scrapes and improve the appearance.
The FT-5000 2.0 comes with two durable polymer D-handles, storage pegs for the attachments, and a mountable diagram demonstrating 12 movements you can do on the machine. It also comes with an added ring at the end of the cable to ease carabiner removal.
The trolley is thinner and lighter than before, with no rollers, downsized material, pre-lubricated uprights, and a repositioned handle for fast and easy adjustments. Instead of plastic, the cables are smooth, with aluminum pulleys, while the cable column markings are laser-etched and numbered on the inside of the uprights, making it easy to line up the handles.
The handles can go higher and lower than the original FT-5000 design to maximize your range of motion. A welded ring is added to attach and remove a carabiner easily. You can just switch to a larger carabiner for different attachments and use the end piece as an additional grip option.
Compared to FT-3000, FT-5000 2.0 has 21 cable positions, while FT-3000 has 15. The adjustment points enable more customization and natural movements, especially when working smaller muscles. FT-5000 2.0 is heavier, bigger, and has heavier weight stacks than FT-3000, totaling 448 lbs at a 2:1 ratio.
This means there is no limit to your home gym training, and you got a cable machine that is strong enough for a commercial setting. FT-5000 2.0 has a multi-grip pull-up bar that challenges different grip, arm, and back muscles using multiple pull-up options integrated into the functional trainer. The frame is stable enough for pull-ups and offers various rubber-coated grip options.
