GR2 Field Pocket – Carryology Kaidan – Overview
Field Pockets are created to isolate your gear from the main part of your rucksack or any bag. They lay flat and have zippers parallel in the center of the depth of the pocket. They can also be used outside of the bag as a first aid kit, so your other stuff won’t spill everywhere when you pull your field pocket.
Field Pockets can be attached to the internal MOLLE or the external front MOLLE on GORUCK bags. Though you can pack your clothes in them, Field Pockets are not packing cubes for clothes as they are padded and provides added bulk to the bag. And like GORUCK bags, they also don’t come lightweight.
GR2 Field Pocket – Carryology Kaidan
The GR2 Field Pocket – Carryology Kaidan is an organizer pouch for your toiletries, tech cables, accessories, and small essentials. It is very much padded and the padding keeps contents protected, while the additional three interior pockets keep you organized. The exterior is made from XPAC VX21 210D (60% nylon, 40% polyester) with an exterior grab handle. GORUCK Field Pockets are all simple yet rugged, including this one.
It weighs 0.6 lbs and measures 9” W x 8” H x 3” D with waterproof YKK AquaGuard exterior zippers. The YKK zippers on the interior with silent, glove-friendly zipper pulls constructed from parachute 550 cord. The GR2 Field Pocket has three interior pockets — one large mesh zip pocket, one large zip pocket, and one mesh pouch pocket.

Your camera gear can fit in the GR2 and get the protection needed because of its thick padding. One of the best qualities of this pouch is that it is large enough to hold plenty of stuff and can be smoothly taken by itself. It is made from 1000D Cordura with a capacity of 4L.
The GR1 measures 9” W x 6” H x 2.5” D with a 3L capacity and can perfectly fit your cables. It is versatile, and the internal pockets are functional and big enough to carry what you want them to. It can also be used as a survival kit and even a toiletries bag.
