The new running shoe from GORUCK:
Rough Runners – Running Shoes from GORUCK – Overview
Feel the difference in your run from heel strike to toe-off with the custom-formulated EVA of the Rough Runners. It provides cushioning and rebound with better durability than other running shoes. The Gradient Density™ signifies that the EVA has more bounce under the balls of your foot and slowly becomes more stable towards your heel. At 330g/sqm, the upper is light and is the perfect harmony of weight and toughness. The seamless, one-piece 100D polyester mesh provides breathability and flexibility without hurting your toes. A protective TPU film is reinforced on high-wear areas, while the toe areas are targeted for abrasion resistance and the midfoot to heel area for added lockdown support. Whether on the road or rough terrain, the versatile outsole can take any challenge you throw at it.
It has two different rubber compounds forming a seamless rubber outsole that performs in even the most demanding terrain. Two different rubber compounds form a single, seamless rubber outsole to perform in even the most challenging terrain. The forefoot rubber is developed for grip, and the heel is dense, durable, and won’t wear down after miles of running or ruck running. The 10mm heel-to-toe drop gives you enough lift to lessen the strain on your achilles and support your heel strike controlling your rhythm. It is the perfect balance between a running stride and a rucking pace. The 3D molded heel lock is comfortable while strengthening the lock in the heel to avoid slippage and too much movement around the ankle.
This secures your heel into the shoe without depending on lace locking or lacing too tightly. The anatomically molded TPU heel counter anchors your feet and stabilizes your heel when doing vigorous, load-bearing exercises. You have three arches in your feet—the medieval longitudinal arch, the lateral longitudinal arch, and the anterior traverse arch. All these three arches are supported by the custom-made dense PU foam insert. You can stay safe while on the more arduous path with the highly reflective pull tab on the back heel that keeps you visible on the street or trail. The extra top eyelets can produce a tight heel lock, a runner’s loop, or lock lace to stop heel slippage and excessive movement around the ankle.
