Women’s UA Flow Synchronicity Running Shoes – Overview
Traditional women’s running shoes usually fall short of the flexibility, fit and arch support women need because they are derived from a man’s-designed shoe. To address this issue, UA created the UA Flow Synchronicity Running Shoe—made for women, by women. An all-female UA design team resolved to alter the record in the running footwear industry and built a women’s specific shoe from scratch.
They started with a new method of addressing fit using holistic and multi-layered and combined data and customer judgment from women who ran a series of prototypes. They examined 3D scans for a scientific understanding of the anatomy and executed wear-testing on athletes to help refine the design and arrangement of the shoe. They studied their biomechanics, foot shape and proportions, contours, and foot sensitivities.
The UA Flow Synchronicity has a knit upper with minimal layers for close-to-foot containment and good zonal stretch for long-run comfort free of sore or hot spots. The Flow technology removes the rubber outsole to create a more lightweight and seamless ride on any surface. The one-piece Flow midsole delivers responsive and long-lasting cushioning and a plush sockliner that cradles the foot for step-in comfort. It connects to the UA MAPMYRUN™ to track and analyze your running metrics and help make you a better runner.
