Let’s review the GR1 Rucksack.
A rucksack is a fitness backpack where you put different weights like ruck plates while walking around carrying the weighted bag. Aside from being a good cardio exercise, rucking also improves your posture, burns more calories, and gets you stronger. Rucking demands power, endurance, and character. To start rucking, a rugged rucksack that will thrive in any situation is what you need.
Here are some of the styles we are going to look at:
GR1 Rucksack – Overview
GORUCK makes different rugged rucking equipment and apparel, including the GR1. The GR1 is a quality rucksack that can carry plenty of weight conveniently, keep the weight stable when you’re moving, and last forever. Rucking with GR1 is a good form of exercise as you walk around carrying 30-50 pounds on your back because it improves strength and endurance. The GR1 is not only excellent for rucking. You can also use it when traveling, working, or hiking. It comes in 21L (11.5 x 18 x 5.5 inches) and 26L (2 x 20 x 6.75 inches) and is made of 1000D Cordura.
It opens flat, so you can pack and organize your stuff easier. On the main compartment’s rear wall, a big elastic sleeve is installed so you can put your tablet or notebook. On the front wall of the main compartment, there is a big zipped mesh pocket about 11″ deep and a smaller zipped pocket at the top about 6″ deep. A port for the hydration tube is located at the top of the main compartment, and the port is just below the top grab handle secured with Velcro. The shoulder straps of GR1 are formed and backed with a solid closed-cell foam so you can carry heavier loads easier. The GR1 is highly water-resistant and has an overly reinforced stitch that will endure severe weather and environments.
A laptop sleeve is behind the main compartment, and this sleeve is massively augmented to be bombproof. It is well guarded, with sturdy padding on both sides, a plastic sheet frame on the back, and a false bottom. The sleeve is big enough to fit a 17″ laptop. On the bag’s front face is a big flat external pocket where you can put heavy objects. Three rows of MOLLE webbing are located along the bottom across the front and sides of the GR1 giving you more organization options. The YKK zippers on the GR1 have heat-shrunk paracord pulls for a quiet and smooth closing and opening.
