The Reebok Pump is back. Remeber that from the 90s? Maybe not – but you can try it out in 2023 with the new Legacy Lifter III Weightlifting Shoes from Reebok.
The Reebok Legacy Lifter series was created and designed with Olympic weightlifting in mind. It was inspired by and developed with the help of CJ Cummings, gold winner at the 2016 Youth World Weightlifting Championships (317kg total) and 2016 Junior World Championships, setting a Youth World Record clean & jerk of 182kg in the 69kg weight class. The series is now on its third iteration and is Reebok’s most comfortable high-performance weightlifting shoe yet.
The Legacy Lifter III (Olympic Weightlifting shoe) from Reebok:
Legacy Lifter III Weightlifting Shoes – Overview
The Legacy Lifter III is specifically for weightlifting exercises like the snatch and clean & jerk and is also used for deadlifts and front and back squats. It has a textile upper and interior lining that allows steady airflow and a midfoot strap that adds a locked-in feel. New to the Legacy Liter III is the inflatable pump technology that will enable you to adjust the fit of your shoe for squats, then change it again for deadlifts.
The raised heel with a TPU clip delivers extra support for ultimate performance on the platform. The TPU heel of the shoe uses a lightweight non-compressible material used for its sturdiness and resilience to abrasions. The grip rubber on the outsole of the Legacy Lifter III is battle tested for proven traction and protection.
The front part of the shoe is a little softer than other weightlifting shoes, making it perfect for those who like flexibility in their weightlifting shoes. The lower part was developed to avoid slippage so you can fully depend on the shoe. Athletes with wider feet will love this shoe because of its spacious toe box.
