GR1 Heritage from GORUCK – Overview
You can be assured of your GR1’s durability because GORUK chose the most robust duck canvas with a Martexin waxing process proven over the last 170 years. It opens flat, making it easier to pack and organize, and has a small hidden zipper pocket underneath the handle. The top handle and the extra padded shoulder straps allow you to carry heavier loads more comfortably.
One of the main features of this rucksack is the Bombproof Laptop Compartment next to your back. It is extra reinforced and has a false bottom so that when you set your ruck down, your laptop won’t even notice. GR1 is waterproof, so your belongings are safe even if you ruck in the woods and it suddenly rains. It also has a removable, rigid plastic frame sheet that stabilizes the laptop compartment and allows you to carry more weight comfortably.
It has a 2″x3″ patch panel on the front with a removable leather patch included and uses YKK zippers with silent, glove-friendly zipper pulls constructed from parachute 550 cord. This rucksack is packed with pockets. There are one large elastic pocket, one large mesh zippered pocket, one small go-to pocket inside, and one external slant pocket for quick access to keys, snacks, and other small items. Heritage Kit Bag – USA
Special Forces and other units began using the Aviator’s Kit Bags as travel bags, pilot flight bags, and deployment bags because of the vast opening at the top to fit body armor inside comfortably. GORUCK updated the aviator’s kit bag and added functionality for daily use, travel, and storage.
At 32L, the Kit Bag is TSA Carry-on compliant and has two external pockets and three interior zipper pockets. It also has a Martexin Wax finish, a process proven on waxed canvas backpacks for over 170 years. This bag measures 11.5″ x 17.5″ x 9″ and includes a brown leather GORUCK spearhead patch.
