To test this product, we got hands-on and in-depth.

Here’s what we found:

The Metcon 7 Mat Fraser embodies the Fittest Man on Earth and 5X CrossFit Games Champion’s “Broken to Best” story. It features Fraser’s signature along the medial side and two insole prints and comes in limited supply.

What’s the verdict? It’s quite different from the Metcon 6, but similar at the same time. This shoe still excels for weight lifting and stability, but look elsewhere for running…
The Metcon 7 MF has cracks filled with gold based on the Japanese technique Kintsugi and also tells Fraser’s Broken to Best story. It is minimally cushioned with a very stable heel and has a narrow, tight fit.

The change to React foam is noticeable but very little that it doesn’t really give much of a cushioning effect. Despite the React foam, it feels firmer in the heel and forefoot than its predecessor.

The Metcon 7 MF is perfect for your most challenging workouts, including HIIT, CrossFit, Bootcamp, weightlifting, and running, and is built for athletes, weightlifters, and CrossFit champs. Nike Metcon 7 is 9% more stable than earlier models, with a heel stabilizing plate dispersing weight from edge to edge. It flexes to make cardio intervals more comfortable. With its revamped rubber wrapping on the sides, you get a superior grip during rope climbs and exceptional traction from floors to pavement.

New to Metcon 7 is the lightweight, springy Nike React foam that allows you to punch it into high gear during cardio drills and sprints. You can lock down your laces with convenient lace tabs to provide distraction-free training, and with the built-in outsole grooves, you can keep moving and stay active.
