Nike Zoom Metcon Turbo 2 My Review
Here it is – the new Nike Zoom Metcon Turbo 2. Let’s review this CrossFit shoe.
Nike Zoom Metcon Turbo 2 – Overview
Let’s see what Nike marketing has to say about this shoe.
The Nike Zoom Metcon Turbo 2 has gone through deliberate reduction to make it the shoe it is now. Each component is lessened from the Zoom Air cushioning underfoot to the rope wrap at the instep to minimize weight while boosting function and durability. The Zoom Air and the Nike React Foam are made lightweight and responsive for quick, repetitive movements like box jumps and double unders.
As a result, you get spring when you take off and cushioning when you land. The instep of the upper is also thin and lightweight yet tough to handle abrasion, while the mesh on the outer part keeps it breathable during high-heat sets. Even the rope wrap and handstand heel clip are improved and pared down to trim down ounces. They give you the same function and durability without the weight.
This shoe blends stability and responsiveness in a lightweight package to help you move fast during circuit training, high-intensity intervals, or a cardio workout. It also has a grippy rubber sole that is flexible to let your foot flex comfortably and a wide, flat heel to keep you stable. All materials are made lighter and more robust for speed and strength.
The new Nike Zoom Metcon Turbo 2 will be your favorite go-to shoe in the gym. It combines stability, responsiveness, and cushioning for a comfortable and stable ride. It is an all-rounder and comes in Black/White/Anthracite/Metallic Cool Grey colorways.
Nike Zoom Metcon Turbo 2 – In Summary
That’s our review of the Nike Zoom Metcon Turbo 2.
If you liked the Metcon Turbo shoe, you’ll probably like the Nike Zoom Metcon Turbo 2. With a Zoom air capsule up in the forefoot, it has more cushion than ever. To be clear though, this still isn’t a highly cushioned running shoe – it’s a cross trainer. That means it is versatile and you can use it to lift weights.
It’s narrow (in my opinion) like every other recent Nike Metcon shoe – so I say go 1/2 size up for comfort.
