Nike Metcon 7 was first introduced this month, and new colorways followed, including these latest colors of Pollen/Volt/Pale Coral/Black for men and White/Pollen/Bright Crimson/Black for women. Metcon, short for metabolic conditioning, is Nike’s ultimate, all-purpose cross-training shoe known for exceptional durability and stability. Now on its 7th version, Metcon offers a more stable and tougher shoe for weight training and high-intensity cardio.

Nike Metcon 7 Launch Colorways – Overview
One of the most noticeable changes done in Metcon 7 is the midsole material and design. It uses React foam which is denser and more responsive while still providing exceptional shock absorption. The redesigned Hyperlift helps support and stabilize the base of the shoe. This TPU heel is rigid but has more cushioning over the heel without the heel height.
The wide, flat heel gets more stable with an inner plate that disperses weight from edge to edge. It also flexes to make it comfortable for cardio intervals. The outsole rubber used on this version is THICC which is rougher and stickier than earlier versions. It has breaks around the forefoot that serve as flex points to reduce some pressure from the back part of the rubber.
Overlays that fuse into the swoosh are placed on the lateral side, as well as the heightened outsole sidewalls for feet containment and rope grip. The middle side of the shoe has an elongated rope guard that raises over the height of the shoe. The secured tongue stays in place and is very comfortable throughout the front part of the ankle. The tongue has a tab that can be folded down or up over your laces so your knot will not untie.

The Nike Metcon 7 X joins the Nike Metcon 7 Mat Fraser PE as the first available Nike Metcon 7 shoes.
Available in new colorways, the Nike Metcon 7 is more rigid and more stable than earlier versions and is the gold standard for weight training. React foam increases comfort, so you can do high-intensity cardio and sprints with ease and less effort. The tab on the tongue locks down your laces, and the reconstructed rubber covers your arch for intense grip during rope climbs.
