I like trucker hats – they are super ventilated, but that also means your dome is at risk of sunburn. To that end, we’ll do a whirlwind tour of the other kinds of hats GORUCK has too. The TAC Hat is my personal favorite.
Hats from GORUCK:
Performance Trucker Hat – Overview
A trucker hat is a kind of baseball hat with a brim or bill and a foam front section that stands up taller than most hats. It is designed with a snap closure in the back for one-size-fits-all versatility. It is also lightweight and has a breathable mesh to keep you cool during the summer heat.
Performance trucker hats from GORUCK are made from tested and proven materials. Some of them have patches so you can show your aesthetic and style. These hats are tough and can be used in GORUCK Challenges and other outdoor sports you choose to do. They are durable and even come with GORUCK’s Scars Lifetime Guarantee.
Performance Trucker Hat
The Performance Trucker Hat uses sweat-wicking, lightweight material on the front to keep your head cool and protected from the sun. It has a streamlined sweatband that provides comfort without keeping moisture.
The top button is removed because it serves no purpose and hurts when you wear Peltors or other hearing protection. It has a 3.5″ adjustable VELCRO® closure and six-panel construction.
Trucker Cap (Flexfit)
This Trucker Cap from GORUCK is made from 49% Cotton, 48% Polyester, and 3% PU Spandex. It provides ventilation with a comfortable Flexfit® mesh interior and PERMACURV® technology to keep the proper shape.
The cap has a 3.5″ high crown and a structured hard buckram. It also has a stretch-fitted closed back with a GORUCK embroidered spearhead logo.
Trucker Cap – Snapback
The Trucker Cap is a one-size-fits-all cap made from 60% Polyester, 39% Cotton, and 1% PU Spandex.
It utilizes an adjustable snapback closure and PERMACURV® technology to maintain proper shape.
Performance TAC Hat
After two years, the Performance TAC Hat was built from the ground up with GORUCK’s proprietary ToughDry® fabric. It is proven in every environment possible for toughness and performance.
This hat has a 2×3 inch patch-friendly VELCRO® on the front and a subtle embroidered spearhead on the side panel. It has a sleek sweatband that provides comfort without holding moisture.
I haven’t tested the Rogue version of this hat, yet, but I can tell you the GORUCK version is excellent.
