Strongman training? Check out the new Oxylus Yoke from REP.
A yoke is a beefy piece of fitness equipment usually seen in Strongman training and events composed of a large metal frame with a crossbar. It can also be used as a squat rack and has an adjustable crossbar and four plate storage posts to stack plates.
Here’s some of the styles we are going to look at:
Oxylus Yoke – Overview
A classic piece of Strongman equipment with a REP twist— this is what the Oxylus Yoke is. This yoke packs plenty of multi-functionality in one frame, and you can convert it into a squat rack, sled, and deadlift carry. It is constructed with a heavy-duty 3×3” 11-gauge steel frame that is larger, heavier, and more potent than other yokes. This yoke comes in two sizes of 77” and 92” tall—the 77” yoke alone weighs 230lbs with weight horns while the 92” frame weighs 240lbs with weight horns.
The Oxylus Yoke has its own attachments that enable you to utilize the frame for deadlifts or farmer carries, with three handle options for various grip challenges. With three handle options, you can challenge your grip and keep your workouts versatile. The Carry Attachment allows you to perform sled drills, deadlifts, and farmer carries. It also comes with two sled posts for pushing and an adjustable pulling cross brace.
The removable weight horns can connect to the base of the weight your yoke carries or the uprights for weight storage when used as a squat rack. The 1″ hole sizing makes the Yoke compatible with 5000 series attachments such as the dip, spotter arms, landmine, utility horn, J-cups, and leg rollers. The handles of the Yoke have aggressive knurling with a hard chrome coating.
