Let’s take a look at the Utility Seat.
The Utility Seat from Rep Fitness offers plenty of versatilty to your home gym. By just attaching it to different areas of your power rack like the crossmembers, uprights, Flip-Down Safeties, Spotter Arms, and ISO Arms, you can form various exercises, such as leg presses, step-ups, preacher curls, box jumps, donkey kicks, box squats, stone loading, or even use it as a spotter platform.
Here’s some of the styles we are going to look at:
Utility Seat – Overview
The Utility Seat is made with heavy-duty 11-gauge steel, weighing around 50 lbs with a capacity of 1,000 lbs. With the included alternate liner kits, it can fit 3×3”-post power racks with outside widths of 47” and 49”. The sides of the Utility Seat have versatile hole spacing to allow numerous mounting configurations. The seat lets you add a pad to execute prone exercises (like seal rows) comfortably, and it’s compatible with the updated Band Pegs, so you can do resistance band exercises or have vertical storage. With the integrated hand cutouts and mounting pins, affixing the Utility Seat wherever you mount it on your power rack is easier.
The Utility Seat highlights clever details, such as rounded tubing on the underside of the frame that makes handling more comfortable. The top of the Utility Seat is layered with a non-slip rubber mat to provide good traction on step-ups or leg presses. It features UHMW plastic lining to protect your equipment. The Utility Seat is completed with a metallic black powder coat, and the pad is made from thick foam with CleanGrip vinyl.
The Utility Seat is compatible with both the PR-4000 and PR-5000 (47” exterior width), as well as racks with a 49” exterior width, such as the Oxylus Yoke, if using the additional liners (included). Structural welds on attachments and frames have a limited lifetime warranty, while pins have a one-year warranty, and the pad has a 30-day guarantee. The Utility Seat comes with eight mounting pins (four 5/8” diameter pins and four 1” diameter pins) and additional liners for 49” wide racks.
